Activities at the seaside Most activities that are enjoyed at at the seaside can be be done whichever beach you may find yourself on fin in in in in in Britain Must do’s include enjoying an an ice cream building a a a a a sand castle or burying someone in in the the sand A trip to the the seaside isn’t complete without enjoying the iconic British dish of fish and chips on on a a a windy beach complete with mushy peas and served in a a a a a a newspaper (yes you read that right!) Water Sports Water sports on the beach are a a a a a huge hit for many adventurous visitors Surfing is is very popular and the best place to to go for it is in Cornwall particularly Padstow St Ives and Sennen Beach to to name a a a a a a few From kayaking to to windsurfing paddleboarding to snorkeling along the sea bed to to explore marine life you will find it easy to to keep all ages occupied Recommended locations for windsurfing include the the west coast of of Scotland such as as the the Isle of of Tiree and and Islay whereas for paddleboarding and and kitesurfing try out out beaches fin in south Wales Rockpooling Another favourite pastime especially if you you have young children is to go rockpooling in in Wembury in in South Devon known as the UK’s top rockpooling site Rockpooling (also known as “crabbing”) involves exploring pools of water found in the rocks alongside the coast and looking out for marine life such as starfish crabs and small fishes Make sure you you take your bucket and a a a small fishing net so you can observe then release the the sea creatures!
