Homestay Summer School in Bath

Our English language holiday courses are designed to help you improve your English, make friends from around the world, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Each morning you will study English, focusing on speaking English, listening, reading and writing. In the afternoon and evenings there is a busy programme of cultural excursions, sports and social activities.

In 2018 our homestay summer school will be at Bath College, a fantastic city-centre location just a short walk from the main shopping centre, close to the bus and train stations.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUMMER COURSE: KEY FACTS
When is the English Language Summer School?Summer School runs from June 25th - August 18th 2018.
Who can attend?The course is open to individuals and groups.
What is in the activity programme?You have 3 hours of English lessons every weekday morning. On your first day, you'll take a test so that we can put you into the best class for you. We'll also make sure you know about the school and keeping safe while you are on the course. In the afternoon there are sports and activities. On Thursday afternoon there is a half-day trip, and on Saturday a full-day trip. There is a typical programme above, but please ask us for a programme for the weeks you plan to book.
How old do I have to be?

The course is for students aged 12 - 16, although younger students can attend if they are suitably supervised.

You are placed in classes according to ability and age:

Parents with Children aged 5-11 (subject to demand)

Junior, ages 12-15

Young Adults, age 16-17

English Summer School Accommodation

You stay with a host family, who provide you with breakfast, and an evening meal. A packed lunch is provided by the school.

If you have your own accommodation - you are staying with friends or family - then that's fine as well.

As well as host family accommodation, hostel accommodation is also available for groups of students.

Where is the Summer School held? The Homestay Summer School is run at Bath College, in the city-centre.
