After-school English lessons for juniors

Our after-school English lessons are designed for students who want to inprove their English grade at school. The classes include practice of all English skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking - and include exercises to prepare for exams.

  • All lessons are with a real teacher.
  • We use the Google Classroom to allow students to ask the teacher questions, to set tasks and provide learning resources.
  • Some homework may be set to complete before or after the lesson. amount of homework set will be agreed with students/parents to fit their schedule.

Film-making and Discussion Club

Improve your English and use it to create your own film/video. Each week will have a theme which will be discussed and used as a basis for telling a story through video. This course is for students with mixed language levels.

Cookery Club

In the Cookery club you practise your English and learn how to cook simple traditional British food.

You will be given a list of ingredients before the lesson, together with the recipe. During the lesson the teacher will guide you through the steps as you cook together.

The club meets once per month.

Online accent reduction and public speaking

Learning the sounds, stress patterns, rhythm and intonation patterns is a separate process from learning the grammar and vocabulary of a language. Our programme is designed to help you improve your pronunciation and give you easily understandable conversational speech.

You will work one-to-one with an experienced teacher, identifying the trouble sounds and patterns, learning and hearing the differences between English sounds, producing and practising the new sounds and finally, incorporating those sounds into conversational speech.
